i passed my driving test on the 28th of february 2024. it was my first time and i got 0 drivers faults. i truly believe that it was down to stephen bentham. i could not have asked for a better driving instructor. thought the 4 months i was learning i had my ups and downs but stephen always managed to turn them positive. i could not recommend Get Passed driving anymore. they are an amazing pair of people and they are here to help when you feel like your struggling.

No matter how confused you are on anything driving related he seems to be able to find a new way to help explain it to you. There's no such thing as a bad question and you're always supported to be a better driver which helps massively when preparing for a driving test. Anyone looking for an instructor in the Chorley and Preston area should definitely consider learning with Get Passed.

Steve’s many years of teaching became evident when he became my driving instructor. His teaching was clear, helpful, and straight to the point. He helped me to look at my achievements in a positive way, rather than putting me down if I made a mistake. He allowed me to learn at my own pace, meaning I wasn’t forced to repeatedly do one thing unnecessarily or do anything that I wasn’t comfortable with at that point. His teaching background gives him a knack for breaking things down simply, making everything easy to grasp. Before I started to learn with Steve I had already sat a driving test with another instructor and unfortunately failed. This knocked all my confidence and I never thought I’d get behind the wheel again, until one of my friends reminded my that our maths teacher from high school was now a driving instructor.

I reached out to Steve and he took me on with no questions asked and promised me that he’d bring my confidence back and I’d pass my test in no time. Lessons with Steve were absolutely amazing and I learnt to not only become a more confident driver but I came away with so much more knowledge and I miss my weekly lessons and our chats. When booking my first driving session I was initially nervous about how my instructor would handle the lessons, however my first time driving with Steve completely reassured me, he was patience and his teaching was effective. He eased my worries while keeping me on my toes and ready to learn. Whenever overthinking, Steve offered an optimistic approach in assuring I was doing just fine and never made me feel like any of my questions were stupid ones. Not only this, I had high goals and expectations on how soon I wanted to pass and Steve never doubted my ability and i ended up passing my test in just under 3 months of learning with him. Steve was the best instructor I could’ve asked for and I am certain he is the best instructor anyone could have- giving people the ability to drive confidently and independently while also offering a comfortable environment to thrive in.
